Mitsubishi Motors Offers Intelliprice(TM) by Veretech

Free Trade-in Appraisals to Online Automotive Shoppers

DELRAY BEACH, Fla., April 1 -- Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) has partnered with Intelliprice(TM) by Veretech, LLC in a pilot program to provide trade-in vehicle appraisals on Mitsubishi's customer website. Online automotive shoppers visiting www.mitsubishicars.com can receive a free appraisal of their vehicle through the Intelliprice appraisal service.

This is the first time the Intelliprice service has been available on an automaker's customer website. Intelliprice is currently in use on more than 600 auto dealer Web sites across the country.

Intelliprice is an interactive program that uses a proprietary process to determine the market value of used vehicles. It was developed to help shoppers get a better understanding of their trade value and to increase the efficiency of Internet shopping. It is the online trade assessment service for major dealer groups like AutoNation and shopping services like Autobytel.

"Based on extensive research of the used car marketplace, the Intelliprice feature provides online visitors with an accurate trade-in estimate of vehicles being sold in the customer's local area," said Chris Marshall, Mitsubishi's Online Marketing Manager. "This service to online automotive shoppers helps us put more qualified customers into dealer showrooms."

Intelliprice uses local wholesale data and the vehicle description to set a trade-in value range. Customers get an instant estimate along with an e- mail confirming the value. Customers will soon have the option to transmit their appraisal directly to a participating Mitsubishi dealer for verification and a physical inspection. Dealers can schedule an appointment to see the vehicle and confirm the price. Final trade offers are set by the dealer.

"We have dealers from all major brands currently using the program to increase their Internet efficiency," said Mike McFall, president of Veretech, LLC, which offers Intelliprice. "Expanding to a manufacturer site, especially a visionary group like Mitsubishi, is a natural for us."

McFall noted that unlike other services, Intelliprice takes a detailed look at the vehicle. While this can take a few extra minutes, it results in a more serious customer and a better prospect for the dealer. Intelliprice also advises customers about potential local sales tax savings from trading with the dealer.

"We are pleased to be the first auto manufacturer to deploy the Intelliprice comprehensive trade-in program on the company website. Aside from the increased number of online customer inquiries, we anticipate increased customer satisfaction and greater dealer sales efficiency," added Marshall.
