INTERMET to Webcast First-Quarter 2003 Earnings Briefing on April 16

TROY, Mich., April 1 -- INTERMET Corporation President and COO Gary Ruff and Vice President of Finance and CFO Bob Belts will host a briefing to discuss first- quarter 2003 financial results at 3:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 16, 2003.

INTERMET will provide a live audio webcast scheduled to begin in conjunction with the briefing at 3:00 p.m. The webcast, which will be accompanied by a slide presentation, can be accessed through the Financial/Investor Information page on the company's Web site at www.intermet.com . It is recommended that access to the live webcast be established 10-15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
