Korea Ssangyong Motor March Sales Down 6.8%
SEOUL April 1, 2003; Dow Jones reported that South Korea's Ssangyong Motor Co. Tuesday said its auto sales declined 6.8% on year to 13,721 units in March, with both local sales and exports falling.
Exports dropped 20% on year to 1,253 units, and local sales fell 5.3% to 12, 468 units, said Ssangyong Motor, the fourth largest of the country's five car makers in terms of production.
Its March sales were 1.9% lower from a month ago, although exports jumped 47% in March from February.
