RVtoday Now on 7 Days a Week, 365 Days a Year; Top-Rated RVtoday Reaches Viewers on the Outdoor Life Network
VENTURA, Calif., March 27 -- RVtoday, the top-rated television program on RVs and the RV lifestyle, is now airing daily on the Outdoor Life Network (OLN). OLN is the premier network for outdoor enthusiasts and is projected to reach 63 million homes by the end of 2003.
"This new broadcast partnership with OLN allows RVtoday to fulfill its mission of supporting the enjoyment of the RV lifestyle for the more than seven million RV owning households in the United States," says RVtoday Executive Director Bob Livingston. "RVtoday also works to spread the word about RV travel to millions of people who might not otherwise have an opportunity to explore it."
RVtoday, a production of Affinity Group, Inc., (AGI), will produce 26 new episodes this year. RVtoday features segments on RV topics ranging from motorhome and trailer tests, to how to prepare a gourmet meal in an RV kitchen. It explores resorts and outdoor vacation opportunities throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada. This show caters to RV enthusiasts by providing viewers with helpful "Quick Tips" and useful demonstrations by RV care and safety experts.
"Strategically, RVtoday has been positioned to be the right show at the right time." said Livingston. "The explosive growth of RVs has created a massive audience that's hungry for news, insight, information and entertainment which reflects its interest and lifestyle."
That audience continues to grow. RV ownership has reached record levels, according to a 2002 study by the University of Michigan, with baby boomers driving the gains. Nearly one in twelve U.S. vehicle-owning households now owns an RV. That's more than seven million households, an increase of 7.8 percent over the past four years, according to the study.
Each show features a how-to segment presented by Bill Gehr, an expert RV technician with a wealth of knowledge about RVs. Gehr shows viewers how to maintain their RVs, inside and out. Topics include water pumps, circuit boards, lights, hitches, leveling systems and tires. In addition, Gehr discusses solar panels, LP-gas, refrigerators and other accessories.
"RV owners are interested in taking care of their RVs," said Livingston. "RVtoday provides them with a wealth of information so they can cost- efficiently manage the upkeep of their RVs."
RVtoday airs Monday through Friday on OLN at 9:30 a.m. EST and weekends at 2 p.m. EST. For a complete listing of show topics and for more information, visit the website at www.rvtoday.tv .
