Gentex Shipping Automatic-Dimming Mirrors with Compass Display For Lexus GX 470
ZEELAND, Mich., March 25 -- Gentex Corporation , the world's leading supplier of automatic- dimming rearview mirrors to the worldwide automotive industry, is shipping interior, automatic-dimming mirrors for the Lexus GX 470 luxury sport utility vehicle.
The Gentex mirror is standard on the GX 470, and comes equipped with Johnson Controls' PathPoint(R) Compass System, which displays the vehicle's compass heading in the mirror.
Gentex Night Vision Safety(TM) (NVS(R)) mirrors automatically darken to reduce glare from the headlamps of vehicles approaching from the rear. The brighter the glare, the darker the mirrors become, making nighttime driving safe.
"Recently, Four Wheeler Magazine declared the GX 470 the 'Four Wheeler of the Year,'" stated Garth Deur, Gentex executive vice president. "The vehicle combines rugged performance with safety and luxury, and Gentex is proud to do its share in helping Lexus achieve this winning combination."
