WESTMONT, Ill., March 25 -- Gamma Technologies Inc. (GTI), today announced that the company has signed Renault S.A. (Paris Stock Exchange: RENA.PA), one of Europe's leading car manufacturers, as a new customer. The signing of Renault pushes GTI's customer list to almost 170, and further extends the company's industry leadership position. Renault will be using GT-POWER in its engine development programs. It will be using it in collaboration with Nissan , a long time user of GTI software. GT-POWER, a component of GT-SUITE, is the industry's de facto standard engine modeling software for design/analysis, and is being used by practically all the world's leading automotive companies and most engine consulting firms.
The signing of Renault means that now both of France's major carmakers, Renault and PSA Peugeot Citroen (Paris Stock Exchange: UG.PA), who began using GT-SUITE in 2002, have adopted GTI products for use in their engine development efforts.
"Renault is a global company with advanced technology, and we are pleased that their detailed evaluation of our product passed their standards," said Dr. Thomas Morel, President & Founder of GTI. "We are also looking forward to cooperative development projects with Renault, to further enhance the capabilities of GT-SUITE to meet their future needs."
"Innovation has long been a pillar of Renault's overall growth strategy. To maintain this edge in a global market, Renault engineers require design tools that allow for collaboration among engineering groups and technology partners, while shortening time to market," said Stephan GUILAIN, Gas Exchange Process team leader at Renault. "GTI's reputation for customer support excellence, and experience in providing such tools to the world's leading engine makers, including Renault's partner Nissan, makes it a logical choice to assist our company in our development efforts."
