Experian Announces Acquisition of Three Regional Affiliate Credit Bureaus
Integration of Affiliate Bureaus Will Provide Clients With Broader Range Of Services
COSTA MESA, Calif., March 24 -- Experian(R), a global business solutions company, today announced its acquisition of the consumer credit assets of Credit Bureau of Provo, Utah, Credit Bureau of Ogden, Utah and United One Resources, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Experian's network of affiliate credit bureaus provides clients in specific geographic areas with a variety of services utilizing the company's consumer credit, business, automotive and marketing information.
Experian is acquiring only the credit operations and contracts of Credit Bureau of Ogden and United One Resources. The Ogden office will continue to offer its proprietary mortgage and collection products and services. United One Resources, which operates in northeastern and central Pennsylvania, will continue with its existing business offering real estate and title insurance products and services. Credit Bureau of Provo, one of the first credit bureaus to provide financial services organizations access to Experian (then TRW) data, will be completely integrated into Experian after 65 years in business.

As a result of the acquisition, clients served in the geographic areas of these three credit bureaus will have access to a broader range of Experian products and services including portfolio management, scoring and a complete suite of fraud prevention solutions.
