Host to Receive Award for Monster Garage!
The Host of Discovery Channel's Monster Garage, Will Appear at Welding Show 2003 in Detroit, April 8, to Accept a 'Golden Welding Helmet' Award for His Role in Promoting the Image of Welding to Television Viewers Worldwide!
MIAMI, March 19 -- Jesse James, host of Discovery Channel's Monster Garage, will be awarded a gold welding helmet by the American Welding Society (AWS) at the 2003 AWS Welding Show at Cobo Center, downtown Detroit, on April 8 at 11:00 a.m. Jesse James (recently named one of People magazine's 50 sexiest) won the "Gold Welding Helmet" award for the advanced welding technology and creativity used during every episode of the hit TV series, Monster Garage. Appearing with Jesse at Cobo Center, will be the Kyle Petty NASCAR Winston Cup car that was transformed into the world's fastest street sweeper in an episode of Monster Garage.
AWS is proud to honor Jesse and the Discovery Channel for their efforts to promote the image of welding to television viewers throughout the world.
Monster Garage airs Mondays at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on the Discovery Channel.
