AFTER TWO ROUNDS OF QUALIFYING:

WHIT BAZEMORE, MATCO TOOLS IRON EAGLE DODGE STRATUS R/T, is No. 3 after two
rounds of qualifying, with a 4.835-second lap at 321.88 mph. Concern in the
camp regarding some of the potential bad weather conditions in the area has
put pressure on the teams to qualify well today.

BAZEMORE: "We're keeping an eye on the weather because it's kind of
questionable for tomorrow, and it made it really a priority to do well today
and we had a very conservative first run that put us third. From that point
we were able to tune the Matco Tools Iron Eagle Dodge up a little bit and
run a competitive .83, which was still fairly conservative. If we have the
opportunity, we feel we can definitely improve on that tomorrow and maybe
increase our qualifying position some more."
