BMW WilliamsF1 Team - Jerez Test Summary

JEREZ TEST -- 12th-14th March 2003

Summary:
After a strong start to the season with a podium finish in Melbourne, the
team
resumed preparation for Malaysia and Brazil with a three-day test at Jerez.

Marc GenÈ started off the test for two days and Ralf Schumacher joined for
the final day. The weather remained constantly clear with steady
temperatures.

Tim Newton (Test Team Manager, WilliamsF1):
"We have had a very useful test and steady weather, which provided the team
the
opportunity to run tests with higher track and ambient temperatures. We
managed to get through a sizeable part of the programme but obviously there
is
more ground to cover.

"Ralf joined us for the last day of timed tests in preparation for the
forthcoming
Malaysian Grand Prix. We focused on tyre work with Michelin for the Sepang
and
Interlagos circuits and set-up comparisons for the forthcoming Grands Prix.
Tomorrow the test continues with an untimed wet tyre test for Michelin.
