S&P Asgn Rtg to CBTC Ford Motor Co. Nt-Bck Ser 2003-6

    NEW YORK--March 13, 2003--Standard & Poor's--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services today assigned its 'BBB' rating to Corporate Backed Trust Certificates Ford Motor Co. Note-Backed Series 2003-6's (the trust) $25 million class A-1 8.00% certificates.
    The rating reflects the credit quality of the underlying securities, $26,846,000 7.45% notes due July 16, 2031 ('BBB'), issued by Ford Motor Co.; and addresses the likelihood of the trust making payments as required under the trust agreement.
    The rating does not address the likelihood that Ford Motor Co. will continue to file periodic reports as required under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended.
