ON Semiconductor Earns Visteon Award for Supplier Excellence; Visteon names ON Semiconductor North American Electronics Supplier of the Year
PHOENIX--March 13, 2003--ON Semiconductor was one of five electronics companies worldwide, and the only pure semiconductor manufacturer, to pick up the first annual Visteon Important Partner (VIP) award during a ceremony last week at Visteon's corporate headquarters in Dearborn, Mich.Visteon Corporation , a leading full-service supplier that delivers consumer-driven technology solutions to automotive manufacturers worldwide, developed the VIP program to recognize suppliers that go above and beyond meeting Visteon's needs and expectations.
ON Semiconductor earned the VIP award in the North American Electronics category and North American Electronics Supplier of the Year. By earning this award, ON Semiconductor secures a seat on the Visteon Supplier Round Table Council that is comprised of suppliers and Visteon Leadership. This council will identify opportunities for Visteon and its supply chain to streamline efficiencies, reduce costs and work together to deliver flawlessly to its customers.
