TI Automotive Awarded GM Fuel-Line Contract

WARREN, Mich., March 12 -- TI Automotive, the world's leading supplier of fluid storage and delivery systems, has been awarded a contract to provide fuel lines for several future full-sized General Motors vehicles.

Production for up to 200,000 fuel-line systems annually will take place at the company's Mexico City plant. The fuel lines are designed to meet existing LEV II emissions requirements and will contain Algal tubing, TI connectors and multi-layer hose.

Rob Crawford, vice president for the brake and fuel group, said "TI Automotive is fully committed to providing environmentally compliant components and systems to help automakers meet increasingly stringent governmental regulations."

The new contract supplements existing TI Automotive brake- and fuel-line business with General Motors, according to Crawford.

TI Automotive is the world's leading supplier of fluid storage, transfer and delivery systems including brake, fuel and air conditioning applications. Based in Warren, MI, the company employs over 21,000 people at more than 130 facilities in 29 countries on six continents.
