Hamilton Named Dow Automotive Chief Operating Officer
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 12 -- George Hamilton has been named chief operating officer of Dow Automotive. The announcement was made by Bob Wood, business group president for The Dow Chemical Company's Thermosets organization.
In this new capacity, Hamilton will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of Dow Automotive while continuing to manage the automotive materials business. "As a 25-year veteran of Dow with a strong automotive background derived from nearly 15 years of experience in the industry, I am fully confident that George will continue lead this organization to the next level of success," said Wood.
Hamilton joined The Dow Chemical Company in 1978 and has held a number of positions in sales and marketing, business management and most recently served as vice president of automotive materials for the supplier. The Dow Automotive executive management team will continue to function in its current capacity to ensure a smooth transition.
