Budget Rent A Car to McCann New York

PARSIPPANY, N.J., March 7 -- Budget Rent A Car, one of the world's top three car and truck rental systems, has awarded its advertising account to McCann-Erickson New York, it was announced today. Billings are not being released, nor are the participants in the review for the business.

Cendant Corporation , which owns both Budget (acquired in November 2002) and Avis Rent A Car System, Inc., is the largest general use car rental operator in the Americas, Australia and New Zealand. McCann has handled the Avis account since 1999. The Avis and Budget brands will be managed by separate account and creative teams within the McCann-Erickson New York office.
