REMINDER/Seattle Roadster Show Ready to Cruise into the Emerald City
SEATTLE--March 7, 2003--The Seattle Roadster Show will bring the latest custom and classic vehicles to hot rod enthusiasts Friday, March 7 - Sunday, March 9, 2003, at the Seahawk Exhibition Center in Seattle, Wash.
Presented by Auto Value Stores and Meguiars Car Care Products, more than 200 of the nation's top hot rods, custom cars and motorcycles, classics and competition machines will be on display.
Headliners include the 1967 Pontiac GTO highly modified muscle car from the blockbuster movie "XXX" starring Vin Diesel; and making its Seattle debut, The Blastolene Special, the 22-foot, twice-scale hot rod roadster built by Northwest resident Randy Grubb. Don't miss Spider-Man(R) on Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, March 8 only, for the first time in Seattle, the show will feature the IMPORTMotion show -- showcasing more than 150 of the Northwest's hottest modified import cars and custom sport compacts. Now a $2.5 billion industry (SEMA), these cars feature super tuned engines on nitrous, chrome undercarriages, cool conversions and wild interiors full of audio and video electronics. Headlining will be the green Mitsubishi Eclipse from the movie "The Fast and the Furious."
Many prestigious awards and cash prizes will be presented, including the Roadster D'Elegance, Seattle Gold Cup, Seattle Silver Cup, Joe Bailon 'Miss Elegance,' and the Best of Washington, Oregon and Canada.
Seattle Roadster Show hours are: Friday, March 7, 12:00 noon to 10: p.m.; Saturday, March 8, 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (IMPORTMotion show: 12:00 noon to 10:00 p.m., Saturday; Trophy presentation at 9:00 p.m.); and Sunday, March 9, 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Trophy Presentation, Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
