Communicators to Discuss the Future of the Automotive Industry At Spring Conference of the Automotive Public Relations Council, April 10 in Romulus, Mich.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., March 6 -- The future of automotive communications is the focus of the Spring Conference of the Automotive Public Relations Council (APRC), which will be held Thursday, April 10, at the Crowne Plaza in Romulus, Mich. The event is co-sponsored by the Detroit Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
Noted futurist Joyce Gioia of The Herman Group will begin the day's activities with an enlightening presentation, "Future Thinking: Vital to Your Success." A panel of industry experts will then discuss their views on the future. Panelists include: Neil De Koker, president of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association; Tom Libby, director of Consulting Operations for J.D. Power and Associates; and Drew Winter, editor of Ward's Auto World.
Another panel will look into the future of internal communications. Confirmed panelists include David Ladd, manager of communication for Siemens, and Sharon Wenzl, vice president of corporate communications for Freudenberg- NOK.
