Visteon Demonstrates Collaboration With Supplier Partners Through First VIP Program

DEARBORN, Mich., March 5 -- Visteon Corporation has announced the winners of its First Visteon Important Partner (VIP) program, which recognizes suppliers that go above-and- beyond meeting Visteon's needs and expectations. Supplier awards were granted for the following areas: metals, non-metals, electronics, machinery and tooling, industrial materials and transportation.

"We view our supplier partners as an extension of our business," says Jon Maples, vice president, Quality and Materials Management. "We continuously look for ways to foster stronger and more collaborative relationships with them so that we can deliver innovative and high-quality products to our customers."

Along with recognition, the program awards each VIP with a seat on the Visteon Supplier Round Table Council. The council, comprised of suppliers and Visteon leadership, will identify opportunities for Visteon and its supply chain to streamline efficiencies, reduce costs and work together to deliver flawlessly to its customers.

Each Visteon Purchasing group has named a VIP winner. From these groups, the supplier that was selected as the Global VIP of the Year was Pioneer Corporation in North America.
