DETROIT--March 4, 2003--ProClip USA, a provider of custom made vehicle mounting brackets and holders for communication accessories, has partnered with industry leaders to introduce a totally flexible GPS Navigation system for sale through new car dealers.
"We have created a unique solution for drivers who want to move their GPS navigation system from one vehicle to another, whether it's an RV, rental car or other vehicle," says Peder Blohm, senior vice president of ProClip USA. "With ProClip's navigation system, there are also many advantages for new car dealers who can sell it with any line of vehicle models--unlike expensive factory-installed systems in luxury models."
ProClip's partners for the GPS Navigation system include the new HP/Compaq, redKnows Technologies, and PowerLOC Technologies, maker of the award winning Destinator GPS navigation software.
New car buyers are expected to save at least $1,000 over a factory-installed system and with ProClip's unique mounting solution, the system can be easily moved from one vehicle to another.
Blohm says, "With our system, we have gained total flexibility using industry leading technology without sacrificing performance." Destinator's visual and voice navigation software most recently received the 2002 Europe Pocket PC Award in the category for GPS & Car. Earlier it was the People's Choice recipient for the 2001 Pocket PC Awards.
ProClip's navigation system components include Compaq iPAQ handheld computer, Destinator GPS software by PowerLOC Technologies, redKnows 12-channel GPS receiver, NavTECH map coverage for the United States and Canada, ProClip's vehicle dashboard bracket and holder with charging cable and a temporary mount including charging cable for use in other vehicles.
"A great advantage to buyers is that when they trade in a car, they can keep the ProClip navigation system and move it to the new car," says Blohm. "For dealers, it also means not losing a sale because they can't offer the right combination of options."
