Quantum Names Corbin as Chief Operating Officer

IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 28 -- QUANTUM Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc., announced today that Raymond W. Corbin has been appointed to Chief Operating Officer. As COO, Mr. Corbin will be responsible for manufacturing operations, research and development, product commercialization, and business development.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Corbin had served as QUANTUM's Executive Director of Alternative Fuels Programs since 2000. Prior to joining QUANTUM, Mr. Corbin was Director of Engineering for Calsonic Kansei Corporation, an automobile parts and accessories manufacturer, from 1997 until 2000. From 1969 until 1997, Mr. Corbin worked for General Motors in a variety of engineering and management positions. He has over 30 years of automotive experience in engines, emission systems, powertrain, exhaust systems, and manufacturing.

QUANTUM designs, manufactures and supplies components and integrated fuel systems to original equipment manufacturers for use in alternative fuel vehicles, fuel cell applications, and hydrogen refueling systems.
