REMINDER/Kart 2 Kart Gears Up for Sunday's Lawrence Tech Formula SAE Team Fund Raiser
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich.--Feb. 28, 2003--WHAT: | Kart 2 Kart will become the unofficial Lawrence Technological University Formula SAE Team headquarters as auto enthusiasts seeking food, fun and racing excitement race to raise funds in support of LTU's 2003 challenge to the annual SAE competition. All are welcome to challenge the 2003 Formula SAE Team for the race sessions at the indoor Grand Prix style kart-racing center. The 2001, award winning SAE team car will also be on display. In exchange for a $35.00 entrance fee, participants will have two opportunities to race against other drivers and the clock with the top 20 finishers competing in two feature races. Practice session race passes will also be available for $15.00 on Sunday. The proceeds will help to enable the Formula 2003 Team to meet its goal of building a powerful, responsive, and cost effective formula-style racing car. Society of Automotive Engineers' student members from 100 colleges and universities from around the world compete in the FSAE competition in May. |
