Exide Technologies Earns 'Achieving Excellence' Awards From John Deere
PRINCETON, N.J., Feb. 27 -- Exide Technologies (BULLETIN BOARD: EXDTQ) (www.exide.com ), a global leader in stored electrical-energy solutions, has been recognized once again by Deere & Company for its outstanding supplier performance.
John Deere, the world's leading manufacturer of agricultural and forestry equipment; a leading supplier of equipment used in lawn, grounds and turf care; and a major manufacturer of construction equipment, recently presented Exide with four prestigious "Achieving Excellence" awards -- from the John Deere Marketing Group (aftermarket); John Deere Construction and Forestry Division; Industrias John Deere S.A de C.V. (John Deere Mexico); and the John Deere Harvester Works facility in East Moline, Illinois.
The John Deere Harvester Works facility is the world's largest, most modern combine manufacturing facility in the world; the other John Deere locations produce tractors, heavy construction equipment including backhoes, motor graders, log skidders, bulldozers and crawler tractors. The Exide Technologies' Manchester, Iowa, manufacturing facility supplies starting batteries for the John Deere heavy-duty equipment.
