BMW WilliamsF1 Team - Barcelona Test Summary

BARCELONA TEST -- 8th-21st February 2003

Summary:
Despite poor weather conditions prevailing in Spain, the BMW WilliamsF1 Team
had another productive week progressing understanding and development of the
FW25, in preparation for its race debut in Melbourne on March 9. Ralf
Schumacher, Juan Pablo Montoya and Marc GenÈ all contributed to a full
programme based on two 2003 chassis and a 2002 chassis carrying development
components for the FW25.

Sam Michael (Chief Operations Engineer, WilliamsF1):
"We covered a lot of ground during the test, and although it was wet for
most of it,
we still learnt a lot about the new car. Ralf and Juan were driving an FW25
and
Marc spent two days tyre testing with an FW24. The team now makes it way to
the Jerez track with one FW25chassis for Juan and Ralf, while Marc will be
testing at Imola with an FW24 to progress a tyre programme with Michelin."

Mario Theissen (BMW Motorsport Director):
"This was a very positive test from BMW's perspective and we have covered a
lot
of mileage without any engine problems. We are pleased with the progression
of our
reliability in particular. The mixed weather conditions have led to some
progress
on the traction control, and some new BMW electronic parts have been tested
successfully."

* The BMW WilliamsF1 Team will be running the next test at the Jerez circuit
for
four days (25th-28th February) and also at Imola for three days (25th- 27th
February)
