BEDRUG WINS GMC PROFESSIONAL GRADE CHALLENGE AWARD AT 2002 SEMA SHOW
OLD HICKORY, TN - Wise Industries enjoyed an award-winning 2002 SEMA Show as the company's BedRug(tm) bedliner captured the GMC Professional Grade Challenge Award for "Best Truck Idea."
To highlight the potential that accessories provide, GMC created the Professional Grade Challenge Awards to present to SEMA Show exhibitors whose product best offers consumers a way to enhance the capabilities, utility and value of their vehicles.
"Receiving the Professional Grade Challenge award is a great honor," said Ron Wise, president, Wise Industries. "In manufacturing the BedRug, we have continually strived for excellence in its design and function. We're excited that GMC's award recognizes these same qualities."
Product evaluation was jointly conducted by General Motor's GMC Division and Service Parts Operation, who based their judgments on criteria including: potential to provide a competitive advantage for GMC vehicles; highest quality execution in function and appearance; potential for application to entire GMC product line; enhances the capabilities of GMC vehicles; compliments GMC's styling character; provides value to GMC customers; ease of installation and uniqueness.
The BedRug is made from rugged polyester fiber bonded to water resistant closed-cell foam, and cannot scratch your pickup bed. Truly "Tougher Than Your Truck," BedRug bedliners are die-cut and molded to form an original equipment fit in the bed area. Cargo will not slide on the polyester surface, as it does on traditional hard plastic drop-in bedliners.
BedRug allows consumers to use their pickup bed in a number of ways: its polyester fiber/closed-cell foam construction conforms to the ribs in the bed, making it ideal for sleeping on camping trips; you can haul your 4-wheeler to the mountains, run through muddy conditions, return home and simply hose out the BedRug; and, you can also put golf clubs, hunting equipment and rifles, pets, flower pots, antiques, groceries or any delicate cargo in your BedRug.
"Your BedRug is the ideal solution to expand the use of your truck," Wise added. "It lets you use your bed just like a back seat. You can put anything back there and not worry that it will be damaged, because BedRug creates a cushioned ride. Plus, the surface is as rugged as you will ever need."
A BedRug can readily withstand almost anything thrown at it, including oil, grease, chemicals and acids. All substances simply wash away with a hose or pressure washer. The polyester fiber is also stain resistant, and will not fade or mildew.
BedRug installs quickly and easily with hook and loop fasteners, and is backed by a complete customer satisfaction warranty.
