First Hydrogen Expo to Be Held in Washington, DC
Technologies to Reverse America's Oil Dependence DUESSELDORF, Germany, Feb. 17 -- The first Hydrogen Expo is held in Washington DC on March 4 to 6 in the Capital Hilton. Partnering with the National Hydrogen Assocation's (NHA) 14th Annual Meeting, Hydrogen Expo showcases the technologies that will reverse America's dependence on oil imports from politically instable regions. Production methods of the clean energy carrier hydrogen (H2), safety measures, initatives to build a fueling infrastructure, and everyday applications such as hydrogen powered vehicles will be featured in the exhibition. "After President's Bush's announcement of the FreedomFUEL program Hydrogen Expo comes to the right place at the right time", says Ines Freesen, Managing Director of exhibition organizer Freesen & Partner. "It perfectly fits with this year's motto of the NHA conference 'Energy Security Through Hydrogen' and introduces solutions for sustainable, emission-free and oil-independent power, heat and mobility." In Europe, Hydrogen Expo was launched by Freesen & Partner already in 2001 in Hamburg, Germany, and has become the largest and most important hydrogen and fuel cells trade show. Through the partnership with the NHA, Freesen & Partner wants to encourage collaboration between manufacturers and know how providers from North America, Europe and Asia to increase the pace of commercialization of hydrogen technologies globally. The exhibition is open to the public on March 5 from 8am-11.45am, 1:15pm-6pm, and on March 6, 8am-11.45am. Admission is free. More information and exhibitor list at: http://www.hydrogenexpo.com
