ANSYS and Satyam Forge Global Strategic Alliance, Offer Process Integrated Engineering Simulation Solutions

New Alliance Will Help Companies Accelerate
                      Product Development and Innovation

CANONSBURG, Pa., Feb. 17 -- ANSYS Inc. , a global innovator of simulation software and
technologies designed to optimize product development processes, and Satyam
Computer Services, Ltd. , a leading global provider of product
design and engineering and IT services, have formed a strategic alliance that
will help customers dramatically accelerate product innovation, time-to-market
and quality.
This alliance will allow the two companies to jointly deliver product
design solutions that combine ANSYS simulation software products -- including
ANSYS(R) Workbench(TM), an engineering simulation platform -- with Satyam's
engineering consulting, configuration, customization and on-site deployment
services worldwide. Industries that use engineering simulation as a product
development strategy, including aerospace, automotive, power generation, heavy
machinery, consumer products and the electronics industries will benefit from
these solutions.
"Design and manufacturing companies realize the value of our new
simulation platform, ANSYS Workbench," said Mike Wheeler, general manager and
vice president of ANSYS' Mechanical Business Unit. "By leveraging Satyam's
services expertise, we're reinforcing our commitment to providing high-impact
process integrated design simulation solutions that help designers and
engineers spend more time doing real engineering and improving designs
quickly."
Coupled with Satyam's customization and implementation strength, the ANSYS
products and simulation platform will enable customers to deploy engineering
simulation solutions early in the development process to make timely design
decisions where they have maximum impact on product quality, cost and time to
market.
"Within Satyam, there has always been a clear focus on technologies,
domain expertise, engineering services and solutions that address the needs of
a complex product development process," said Jack Manning, vice president of
Engineering Services, Satyam Computer Services Ltd." ANSYS Workbench's CAD
interoperability, openness, extensibility and most modern & modular
architecture will allow us to deploy process integrated design simulation
solutions for our customers quickly and cost effectively. Plus, ANSYS'
well-known modeling, multiphysics and variational simulation technologies will
help many of our customers with their high-fidelity and robust design
initiatives."
