FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (February 15, 2003) - Chase Montgomery handled his first NASCAR Busch Series race like a pro. Montgomery used patience and his spotter to move the #27 Trim Spa Brewco Motorsports Pontiac Grand Prix up 17 spots in the 120-lap event. The 10th-place finish made Montgomery the highest finish rookie.

Montgomery started the day 27th in the field and patiently moved his way toward the front. He ran in the top 20 most of the race, avoiding three major accidents.

"There were a couple of close calls out there," Montgomery said. "We just stayed patient and kept our focus. I have to give my spotter a lot of credit. He got me through some tight positions."

As Montgomery was making his charge in the final laps, he found the only help he could get was from 2002 fellow ARCA RE/MAX Series competitor Chad Blount.

"We couldn't get anyone to help us out there at the end. Chad was the only one who would run with me. I appreciate his help and hopefully we can look out for each other throughout the season."

Montgomery came into today's race with a high confidence level after winning last weekend Advance Auto Parts 200. Montgomery's next event will be at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in two weeks.
