O'Reilly Auto Parts Honors Federal-Mogul for Aftermarket Sales and Service Excellence

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Feb. 14 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation
chalked up another significant customer award recently when it was named "2002
Sales and Service Vendor of the Year" by O'Reilly Auto Parts.
    Representatives of Federal-Mogul's North American aftermarket team
accepted the award during O'Reilly's recent 2003 Manager's Conference in
Tulsa, Oklahoma.  O'Reilly Auto Parts, with headquarters in Springfield,
Missouri, is one of the largest specialty retailers of automotive aftermarket
parts, tools, supplies, equipment and accessories in the United States,
serving both the do-it-yourself and professional installer markets.  O'Reilly
also operates under the name Ozark Automotive.
    This award recognized the outstanding efforts of several departments and
functions within Federal-Mogul, according to Mike Swearengin, O'Reilly's vice
president of merchandise.
    Federal-Mogul sales representatives participated in various O'Reilly sales
campaigns throughout the year, making more than 16,000 sales calls to O'Reilly
installer customers.  The Federal-Mogul sales team supported all of O'Reilly's
106 new retail store startups and store moves during 2002, according to
Swearengin.  These actions helped O'Reilly increase its purchases from
Federal-Mogul by more than 25 percent in 2002 compared with 2001 levels.
    "All Federal-Mogul departments provided outstanding support service to all
areas of O'Reilly," noted Bob Valenti, sales support manager, Federal-Mogul.
"Our high shipping rates, attention to quality, customer service
professionals, technical support, and outstanding training have resulted in
Federal-Mogul being recognized as the leader in the aftermarket."
    Noting that O'Reilly celebrated the opening of its 1,000th retail store in
January 2003, Valenti said: "Everyone at Federal-Mogul has reason to celebrate
our success and our role in helping this important customer grow."

include: Moog(R) chassis, Wagner(R) brake products, Precision(R) universal
