Team Bristol Announces Racing Partners for Toys 'R' Us Racing Team 2003 NASCAR Season



    BRISTOL, Va., Feb. 14 -- Team Bristol Motorsports owner Rick
Goodwin announced today that he has signed three associate sponsors for the
2003 NASCAR Busch Grand National season. Rayovac Batteries, Martin Designs and
Zapf Creation will join Toys "R" Us on the #54 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by
Hermie Sadler.
    "We are very excited to be able to announce today that Rayovac, Martin
Designs and Zapf Creation are partnering with us for the 2003 racing season,"
Goodwin said. "These three companies are all leaders in their respective
fields and will help to make the 2003 season a very successful one."
    Warren Kornblum, Chief Marketing Officer for Toys "R" Us expressed his
excitement with the three sponsors joining Toys "R" Us.
    "Toys "R" Us is thrilled to have such fine associate sponsors join us on
the Toys "R" Us #54 Car. To us, this is and always will be about building a
strong partnership that not only performs well on the track but that also is
meaningful to family race fans everywhere," Kornblum said. "As we move into
the 2003 season, I particularly look forward to working with our partners to
find exciting promotions, show car programs and other initiatives that will be

Zapf Creation together in partnership with Team Bristol and especially a

    Merrell Tomlin, Executive Vice President for Rayovac, one of the world's
largest consumer battery and lighting device companies, spoke about the honor
it will be to partner with the Toys "R" Us Racing Team.
    "Rayovac is honored to be a part of the Toys "R" Us NASCAR Busch Series
Race Team," Tomlin said. "Toys "R" Us has assembled a talented team that we
feel will strongly compete for the Busch Series Championship. We are excited
about putting the 'Power of Rayovac' behind the Toys "R" Us car. We can't wait
for the season to start." Martin Myers, President of Martin Designs, made the
decision to join the Toys "R" Us Racing program after attending the August
Bristol race last year.
    "Martin Designs is excited about joining forces with a dynamic team like
Toys "R" Us Racing, Myers said.  "With the launch of our new NASCAR(R)
stationery line, it made great sense to be a part of America's fastest growing
spectator sport on all levels. After I attended the night race at Bristol last
year, I could feel the excitement and passion that team owner Rick Goodwin
exuded. All of us at Martin Designs wanted to be a part of it."
    Sandra L. Crawford President & General Manager, Zapf Creation (U.S.) Inc.,
a leading manufacturer of play, function, and collector dolls and doll
accessories, such as BABY born(R) and CHOU CHOU, announced the plan for her
company to be a partner with the Toys "R" Us Racing program.
    "In launching this program with Team Bristol, we saw a real opportunity to
celebrate the dedication and passion for NASCAR racing that exists among

"R" Us car #54 driven by Hermie Sadler, and to be working with Team Bristol

    Hermie Sadler and the Toys "R" Us Racing Team will take the green flag on
the 2003 season Saturday February 15th at Daytona International Speedway in
Daytona Beach, FL.
