Trim Trends Refines Company's Rotary Cold Forming Process for Transmission Parts - Lower Cost Alternative to Machining

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Feb. 13 -- Trim Trends announced
today a refinement of its precision rotary cold form manufacturing process. A
one-step, integrated process, Trim Trends' precision rotary cold forming
creates high quality, fully splined automotive transmission hubs, that require
no additional secondary manufacturing.
"Our new process," said Trim Trends Senior Vice President Paul Ciani, "not
only eliminates secondary machining it also allows cold forming of both
outside and inside surfaces while maintaining very tight tolerances with
minimal wall reduction. As a result of our process, the parts are work
hardened eliminating the need for any heat treating. This is an example of
Trim Trends developing new processes to produce high-quality parts, save time
and further reduce costs for our customers."
