DETROIT & MENLO PARK, Calif.--Feb. 13, 2003--
Tele Atlas North America, the U.S. arm of the world leader in digital mapping, Tele Atlas NV, and premier provider of digital map databases and real-time traffic information for North America, today announced the opening of its Detroit office and the addition of Jonathon B. Husby, senior sales manager for navigation. Husby will work out of Tele Atlas's new offices in the Town Center in Southfield, Mich., and will be responsible for leading the company's Detroit-area operations.
After releasing the most powerful turn-by-turn digital map database for North America, Tele Atlas has continued to take steps to support its growth, particularly as a key supplier to the automotive industry.

Husby brings nearly a decade of sales and managerial experience to Tele Atlas North America from DENSO Corporation. Prior to joining Tele Atlas, he was sales manager for the Thermal Section and Electronics Section of DENSO's General Motors Sales Group. At DENSO, he was responsible for expanding sales of electronics products, including navigation systems, to General Motors and worked extensively with General Motors to introduce new products and technology. He also expanded partnerships with Delphi, Guide and Yazaki, and worked with OEMs and content providers to deliver telematics solutions.
