TWIN-TUBE ACCESSORY PACKAGE CARRIES HOME GMC PROFESSIONAL GRADE CHALLENGE AWARD FROM 2002 SEMA SHOW
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - Designed to transport hitch-mounted accessories on a secure and stable platform, the Twin-Tube(tm) modular accessory system from Let's Go Aero and SportRack Automotive carried home cargo of a different nature from the 2002 SEMA Show - the GMC Professional Grade Challenge Award for "Best Professional Grade Idea (SUV)."
The Twin-Tube accessory system consists of three individual components - Twin-Tube, Smart-Pack(tm) and EZ Bike Rack(tm) - combined to offer consumers ultimate towing utility, flexibility and ease.
To highlight the potential that accessories provide, GMC created the Professional Grade Challenge Awards to present to SEMA Show exhibitors whose product best offers consumers a way to enhance the capabilities, utility and value of their vehicles.
"To be selected as the first recipient of this award is a tremendous honor," said Marty Williams, president of Let's Go Aero. "There were many innovative products on display at SEMA this year. We're proud that the Twin-Tube accessory system was GM's choice."
Product evaluation was jointly conducted by General Motor's GMC Division and Service Parts Operation, who based their judgments on criteria including: potential to provide a competitive advantage for GMC vehicles; highest quality execution in function and appearance; potential for application to entire GMC product line; enhances the capabilities of GMC vehicles; compliments GMC's styling character; provides value to GMC customers; ease of installation and uniqueness.
Twin-Tube makes many hitch-related accessories easily adaptable to a single hitch-mounted bracket system and eliminates the need to convert mounting hardware on a vehicle each time you change cargo carriers. Its dual-spine design creates both stability and balance, as the spines work in harmony to offer a fixed and level platform for hitch-related accessories to rest upon. This keeps tow-behind cargo safe and secure by reducing movement and vibration that result from unpredictable roadway conditions such as uneven pavement, potholes, gravel surfaces and slippery blacktop.
Smart-Pack is an open platform carrier, a bicycle carrier and an enclosed carrier - all in one. The three-in-one carrier can carry up to three bicycles, while its heavy-duty tray design protects gear from road debris and water spray.
And as connection, loading and transport troubles are common with many bicycle mount models on the market today, the 2EZ Bike Rack(tm) (holds two bicycles) and 4EZ Bike Rack(tm) (hold four bicycles) combat these potential problems with a revolutionary design. EZ Bike Rack allows cyclists to simply roll their bicycle wheels onto a tray-like structure, eliminating the need to grab and lift their bikes.
Both the Twin-Tube and Smart-Pack technologies are original Let's Go Aero inventions, licensed to SportRack Automotive. The EZ Bike Rack is a SportRack Automotive invention.
