Motion Industries Names Mark Sheehan President and CEO Motion-Canada

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--Feb. 10, 2003--Motion Industries, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company has named Mark Sheehan president and CEO, Motion-Canada.
    According to Motion Industries' president and CEO, Bill Stevens, Sheehan becomes president and chief executive officer of Motion-Canada which includes the Montreal, Waterloo, and Lethbridge divisions. Sheehan will continue to serve as group vice president of Motion Industries where he will be responsible for the East group. Sheehan has also served Motion Industries in regional and branch manager roles. He began his career with Bearing Chain and Supply, a company that joined the Motion Industries organization in 1984.
    Headquartered in Toronto, Motion Canada was founded in 1950 as Oliver Industrial Supply Ltd. Employing more than 600 people, Motion Canada has 65 branches located in nine provinces. Designed to benefit the customer, Motion Canada offers twelve repair centers in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec; a distribution warehouse located in Calgary, Alberta; and a distribution center in Lachine, Quebec.
