- Free Admission - Pit Crew Competition - Driver Appearances - Dodge Viper SRT-10 and SRT-4 Rides
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Feb. 10 -- Dodge Motorsports is celebrating the start of the 2003 NASCAR Winston Cup season and Daytona Speedweeks with an exciting new Dodge City lineup of featured events and appearances for Daytona-bound fans.
"A trip to the Daytona 500 just isn't complete without a visit to Dodge City to get your adrenalin fix," said Jim Yetter, Director - Dodge Motorsports and SRT Marketing. "It's no coincidence we're right across from the Daytona International Speedway. Because next to the infield garages, you won't find a higher concentration of horsepower than at the Dodge City display."
Dodge City will be Race Central for some of the best fun in Daytona Beach.
Dodge City puts an emphasis on power and performance with the Dodge SRT brand. "Race Inspired, Street Legal" is the credo, and nowhere is that more apparent than Dodge City, where some of the industry's most potent cars and trucks will be burning rubber.
Some of racing's most popular drivers will be there as well. Bill Elliott, Sterling Marlin, Rusty Wallace and Richard Petty are just a few of the drivers who will greet fans at Dodge City.
They'll be there to introduce the world premiere of a new Dodge advertising campaign focused on the expanding SRT lineup. Fans can catch the new TV ad -- and its stars -- at 11:45 a.m., Friday, Feb. 14. Dodge's new SRT advertisement will air during the live telecast of the Feb. 16 Daytona 500.
Dodge is further spreading the enthusiasm and "Grab Life by the Horns" attitude with Dodge SRT Power Rides, featuring the 2003 Dodge Viper SRT-10 and Dodge SRT-4. What's it feel like to be launched from a start in a 500- horsepower supercar? Strap in and find out.
The Performance Vehicle Operations (PVO) team that developed the Dodge Viper SRT-10, Ram SRT-10 and SRT-4 will be hosting technical seminars on the latest developments at Dodge and leading discussions that will give enthusiasts a behind-the-scenes look at performance engineering.
Dodge City is free and open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, Wednesday, Feb. 12 through Saturday, Feb. 15, and from 7 a.m. to 12 noon, Sunday, Feb. 16.
Dodge City is located directly across International Speedway Boulevard from Daytona International Speedway, at the base of the pedestrian overpass.
