A.R.E., INC. TO EXCLUSIVELY MARKET, SELL, MANUFACTURE, AND DISTRIBUTE PACKASPORT(r) ROOFTOP STORAGE CARRIERS

MASSILLON, OH - A.R.E., Inc., manufacturer of fiberglass truck caps and tonneau covers, has been the contract manufacturer for Packasport for the past 10 years; under a new agreement, the company now also has retained all of the marketing, sales and distribution rights for Packasport, according to Todd Roberson, vice president, sales and marketing, A.R.E.	
      
He added that the product will now be referred to as "Packasport(r) System by A.R.E.," and the company's network of dealers will become Packasport Master Distributors. 
      
"The major advantage to the end consumer is that because we're eliminating all of the middlemen, the retail prices have fallen from about $1,000 or more a box to $695 to $895 depending on size," Roberson said.  "Our dealers also win on this.  Since they buy directly from us, they can always offer the best consumer pricing."
      
For durability and strength, each Packasport(r) System By A.R.E. is built with reinforced fiberglass using laminations of aluminum, Cormat and foam, much like the process behind building the hull of a fine, hand-crafted boat. For style the company adds an 18-mil gel coat finish (black or white) to the contoured, aerodynamic design that looks great on any vehicle, any time of year. Or, select a custom painted Packasport, made with the same exacting standards as the rest of the A.R.E. line. 
      
All models come with a limited two-year warranty and can be installed on almost any roof rack - factory or aftermarket.
