IFS Strengthens Commitment to Automotive Industry Through Alliance With Radley
CHICAGO--Feb. 10, 2003--IFS today announced that it has signed a channel-partner agreement with Radley Corp., a Southfield-Mich.-based software development firm, to market IFS Applications(TM) and Radley's iCARaS(TM) automotive release accounting/EDI solution within the North American automotive industry. The agreement strengthens the existing alliance between IFS and Radley, which began in July 2001. Already, the two companies have established a joint development center in Chicago and a joint development and marketing strategy. The goal of these efforts is to develop and market additional software solutions that benefit IFS' existing automotive customers and further IFS' penetration into this market segment.
Radley's iCARaS system, which is fully integrated with IFS Applications, helps automotive, heavy truck, and off-road OEMs and suppliers respond quickly to customers' demands and adjust nimbly to the scheduling requirements of the just-in-time (JIT) marketplace. It manages all data sent from the customer, and tracks priority data elements, such as net demand, CUMs and quantities, and label serial numbers.
"IFS is committed to serving the needs of the North American automotive industry, and the channel-partner agreement with Radley strengthens our focus on this important vertical market," said IFS North America President Terje Vangbo. "Radley is a recognized leader in EDI, bar coding and labeling, and data collection solutions for the automotive sector. IFS offers an integrated business solution that is being used successfully by some of the biggest names in the automotive industry worldwide. Together, we provide an unbeatable combination."
"Radley Corp. is pleased to provide iCARaS(TM) release accounting and EDI functionality, integrated within the IFS environment," said Radley Corp. President Mark Farneth. "Automotive manufacturers are continually pressed to cut costs and improve operational efficiencies. To optimize their operations, manufacturers need access to business applications that automate and streamline their daily business cycle. The IFS and Radley application suites provide suppliers with standard products to meet these needs."
IFS' existing automotive customers include BMW, Rover, Lotus, Volvo, Kayaba, Expert Automotive, and Borgstena Textiles.
