Modine announces 2003
full-line catalog for its
Air Pro Quality Parts brand
 
 
            RACINE, Wis., February 1, 2003 - A new 505-page, full-line
catalog (60-108.4) for the Air Pro Quality Parts brand has been released
by the Aftermarket Division of Modine Manufacturing Company.  The 2003
A/C parts catalog includes compressors, clutches, condensers,
evaporators, driers and accumulators, expansion valves, fittings, hoses,
blower motors, switches, other hardware, refrigerants, tools and
equipment.  The application section covers Ford, General Motors, and
DaimlerChrysler passenger cars, pickups, vans, and SUVs from the '60s to
the present, and includes coverage for more than 30 import nameplates.
Modine has expanded hose assembly coverage by adding over 500 part
numbers.   
            In addition to the basic product information, the 2003 Air
Pro Quality Parts catalog includes helpful information for service
technicians.  A refrigerant capacities chart lists the correct R134a
charge when converting from R12.  A compressor lubricant guide details
the proper lubricant for each compressor type by manufacturer.  A
listing is provided inside the back cover for more than 55 A/C parts
kits designed to replace key system components contaminated by "Black
Death".  This condition results from a catastrophic breakdown of the
refrigerant-lubricant that in turn causes excessive wear inside the
compressor.  A handy part-number cross reference from Air Pro to others
