Jadoo Power Systems Presents Fuel Cell Products to President Bush
FOLSOM, Calif., Feb. 6 -- President George W. Bush was briefed today by Larry Bawden, President and CEO of Jadoo Power Systems, on Jadoo's portable fuel cell technology, which is being used for covert surveillance applications. Mr. Bawden demonstrated Jadoo's SuREII power system based on proprietary fuel cell systems technology. Jadoo was selected as one of only twenty-two companies to participate in the White House event arranged by the Department of Energy in Washington DC. The event, with exhibitors from leading fuel cell companies and major auto manufacturers, was organized in response to President Bush's hydrogen economy initiative presented in last week's State of the Union speech. It was created to gather leaders in fuel cell innovation highlight existing fuel cell technology and present these innovations to President Bush for his review. "Our fuel cell power systems provide up to six times the runtime of existing battery technology," commented Larry Bawden. "Most importantly, these power systems are available today. Industry response has been tremendous." In addition to the SuREII, surveillance power system, which is being reviewed by a federal security agency, Jadoo also demonstrated their NABII unit, which provides power for professional video cameras. "We are pleased to be selected along side companies like Daimler-Chrysler, Motorola and Chevron-Texaco as a leader in moving the US toward a 'hydrogen economy," Mr. Bawden said. Referring to the future of this technology, President Bush in his speech commented, "For the entrepreneurs here, thanks for being an entrepreneur. Keep dreaming your dreams. It's the collective dreams of the American entrepreneurial set which really define our future for us. Here today, I'm going to say your government is not to stand in your way, but stand by your side as we blaze new paths for our country." Jadoo Power Systems, located in Folsom, CA, designs, develops and manufactures next-generation; portable energy storage and power generation products that utilize proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells. Jadoo's fuel cell systems, which provide power for applications ranging from surveillance systems that protect our homeland, to telemetry systems that monitor our natural gas pipelines, outperform existing power technologies.
