EDS Awarded Expanded Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Software Contract For Collaboration and Product Creation By Ford Motor Company
PLANO, Texas, Feb. 5 -- EDS has been selected by Ford Motor Company to supply and integrate their most advanced Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software technologies, Teamcenter(R), NX, and E-factory(TM) into the automaker's next generation C3P systems environment worldwide. The long-term contract calls for the upgrade of I-deas(R) software to EDS' next generation NX CAD software and the expansion of Teamcenter applications, as well as digital manufacturing and visualization. Under the expanded contract EDS PLM Solutions will provide the foundation for integration and collaboration of the global virtual product creation environment. Financial terms were not disclosed.
