TTTech to Demonstrate Time-Triggered Protocol at SAE World Congress And in a Seminar and Workshop
Time-Triggered Vs. Event-Triggered Communication Ideally Suited for Automotive Safety-Relevant Applications TUCSON, Ariz., Feb. 5 -- TTTech Computertechnik AG, the leading supplier of time-triggered technology and software, will give the North American automotive community a detailed insight into its Time-Triggered Protocol (TTP(R)) at a seminar and workshop, held March 10-13 at the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC), Plymouth, Mich. TTTech will introduce TTP to the automotive industry at SAE World Congress March 3 - 6 in Detroit's Cobo Center at Booth #1427. On Thursday, March 6, at 9 a.m., TTTech, will present the technical paper "Improving Availability of Time-Triggered Networks Even Further" in room W2-66 during the session on Safety-Critical Systems. This session has been organized by Brian Murray from Delphi and Stefan Poledna from TTTech. Kurt Kober, senior support engineer from TTTech, will be the lecturer at the introductory seminar, March 10-11, and the in-depth workshop, March 12-13, providing the opportunity to get to know TTP and experience its value. The seminar will define the requirements of distributed fault-tolerant real-time systems and how these communication requirements relate to the properties of time-triggered as opposed to event-triggered communication. Participants will be given an overview of the system architecture features that meet specific application design requirements. The workshop will provide laboratory and hands-on exercises that will give participants a comprehensive introduction to the tool-based development process of a distributed system using TTP as the communication network. TTP (Time-Triggered Protocol) is a fault-tolerant high-speed in-vehicle data communication network. This mature, low-cost network solution is specifically designed to handle safety-critical applications. TTP enables new and advanced automotive and aerospace applications, including by-wire, integrated vehicle control systems, and driver assistance systems. The MMTC is located at 47911 Halyard Rd., Plymouth, Mich. Additional information about the seminar, workshop, registration, and hotel accommodations can be found at http://www.tttech.com .
