LAW SECURES A 3RD PLACE PODIUM FINISH IN ROLEX 24 HOURS OF DAYTONA

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Phoenix, AZ (February 4, 2003) The 24 hours of Daytona have finally ended and
once the dust and debris had cleared, Darren Law in his G&W Motorsports BMW
powered Picchio, sponsored by RED BULL, USI and VALLEY GROUP, were most
deservedly on the podium. “It was more like a 48 hour race ” said Law,
referring to the time his team had put in working to prepare and repair their
fabulous new Daytona Prototype”. Our guys deserve a lot of the credit for
the podium finish”, said Law who fights back the fatigue of the grueling 24
hour event.

The G&W crew worked through out the night Friday preparing for Saturdays 1pm
start time, putting together the final pieces on the newly fabricated car
from Italy. “Many of the parts were right out of the box”, said Cole
Scrogham, Crew Chief and owner of G&W Motorsports “ there was barely enough
time to put the car together and travel to Florida.

Problems started early on for Law and team mates Boris Said, Luca Ricatelli,
and Dieter Quester. During Luca’s late night stint, an unfortunate spin off
course caused damage to the nose and the team to replace the front bodywork
and radiator. Said called it “teething pains” referring to the development
and learning process in the new prototype.

Both Darren and Boris were able to overcome issues in the car and turned in
some very fast laps. Dieter Quester retired around 1:30a.m. leaving Darren,
Boris and Luca to bring this wounded Red Bull to the finish line with on the
podium. “There was a lot to be said for attitude when it comes to this crew
and my team mates” said Darren Law once they'd clenched the third place
Daytona Prototype position just after sunrise, “we had a lot of luck, hard
work, and overall faith that brought us this win, now lets see what we can
accomplish at Homestead”. It looks like great things are in store for this
team, it's drivers, and its good attitude.
