ROSTRA PRECISION CONTROLS UNVEILS NEW DISTRIBUTOR SALES SUPPORT PROGRAM

LAURINBURG, NC - Rostra Precision Controls, Inc. is launching an all-new distributor point-of-purchase support program for its Rear Obstacle Sensing System (ROSS).
	
Distributors requesting the start-up kit will receive a discount off their first order, as well as brochures, posters and window decals, according to Thomas Weiss, vice president, automotive accessories group, Rostra Precision Controls, Inc.  
	
"With their cost at $149 and an installed MSRP of $395, we can present our distributors with an excellent profit opportunity," Weiss said.
      
The ROSS backup sensor gives a vehicle an extra measure of safety by using microwave technology to warn drivers when an obstacle is in their path. It mounts out of sight behind the vehicle's rear bumper, and alerts drivers to obstacles up to 12 feet from the rear of the vehicle.  It works in the dark at night, and in even the poorest weather conditions like heavy fog, rain or snow. 
      
Drivers are alerted through a series of audible beeps that increase in intensity as the object draws closer, and from an in-dash display with green, yellow and red warning lights.
	 
"Our ROSS kits are the perfect answer for individuals seeking a higher level of safety in their vehicles," Weiss added.  "The system can pay for itself if it prevents even one accident."

The aftermarket system is available for installation in more than 45 applications, including most SUVs, pickup trucks, minivans and passenger vehicles made by 10 different manufacturers.   The product has a suggested retail price of $395 installed, and comes with a three year, 36,000-mile warranty.
