New Web Site, Logo Give Glimpse into Trans-Am's Future

LANSING, Mich. ‹ The Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup has
launched a completely redesigned web site, www.trans-amseries.com. Today¹s
launch also marks the official unveiling of the new Trans-Am Series logo.
³New leadership in Paul Gentilozzi, an altogether new look and feel to our
web site and a new logo showcase the Trans-Am Series¹ focus on the future,²
said Trans-Am Series Executive Director John Clagett. ³We designed our new
web site with our fans, competitors and sponsors in mind, and hope to offer
them a positive and productive online experience.
³Our new logo illustrates the Trans-Am Series as North America¹s premier
production-based road racing series,² added Clagett. ³The logo is one aspect
of an integrated marketing approach designed to grow and expand fan interest
and loyalty, service our current marketing partners in an effective manner
and seek out new sponsors. The logo denotes a move forward, while
maintaining the Trans-Am Series¹ rich history.²
The web site, built by noted motorsports web design firm Creative
Communications Group, offers many new features, including breaking news,
driver biographical information and ³The Paddock,² which allows competitors
to download required forms and applications.
John Thawley President of Creative Communications Group, who also designed
the new series logo, said: ³The objective was to modernize and inject some
excitement into the Trans-Am Series logo, while maintaining the Series¹
heritage,² said Thawley. ³The overall web site design objective is to have
an elegant, informative representation of the series and its activities.²

The Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup sanctions closed-fendered,
production-based V-8-powered sports car racing. The Trans-Am Series is
America¹s oldest continuously running sports car racing series and
celebrates its 38th anniversary in 2003.
