WORLD OF OUTLAWS 25th ANNIVERSARY TOUR AT LEBANON VALLEY

FEBRUARY 3, 2003
WEST LEBANON, NY- The World of Outlaws Sprint Cars Presented by CARQUEST Auto
Parts will bring their 25th Anniversary Celebration to the Lebanon Valley
Speedway "High Banks" on Monday May 26th. Tickets for this huge event will go
on sale Monday February 17, 2003. Well known for offering the fans great
value Lebanon Valley promoter Howard Commander has once again maintained the
low $22 admission price for this years Outlaw show. Although the cost of
bringing the winged warriors to the West Lebanon speed-plant has increased,
Commander noted, "We are still the lowest priced World of Outlaws show in the
country and what a show these guys put on!" The World of Outlaws recently
announced O'Reilly Auto Parts as its new title sponsor.
Last year before a record crowd Danny Lasoski driving the Tony Stewart
owned #20 J.D. Bryrider Eagle held a comfortable lead and was on his way to
cutting into points leader Steve Kinser's edge. Only 5 laps remained in the
25-lap "A" feature when the throttle linkage broke on "The Dudes" mount
forcing him to the pits. Kinser, "The King of the Outlaws" went on to win the
event and eventually the 2002 World of Outlaws championship, his 17th series
championship.
Pennsylvania Posse standout Lance Dewease set fast time at 103.034-M.P.H.
and finished third right behind WoO regular Craig Dollansky. 2001 "A" feature
winner Donny Schatz was forth with Darryn Pittman rounding out the top five.
Lebanon Valley Speedway's Modified division will also be on the card with
the Outlaws. In last years event Denny Soltis of Torrington, CT was not to be
denied the victory. Driving the Albreada Waste #22 Soltis took the 30-lap
feature. Dave Leckonby had his best finish of the season in second, Hector
Stratton was third and Rob Pitcher and Kenny Tremont completed the top five.
