Pigeon S Trailer Tracking Now Available From iNet-Blue Corporation
LOVELAND, Colo.--Feb. 3, 2003--iNet-Blue Corporation announces the TraXall(TM) Pigeon S -- a small, self-contained, low cost Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) device that provides vehicle tracking accuracy to within about thirty feet via satellite throughout North America. Only one inch high, the Pigeon S includes everything needed for five-years of operation with no external power connections. Simply attach it to the top of any asset and it is immediately ready to be tracked and located. The Pigeon S attaches easily to vehicles such as trailers, trucks and construction equipment. Using the Global Locating System (GLS) instead of GPS, the Pigeon S overcomes many limitations of the Global Positioning System (GPS) when used in tracking applications. Because GLS is a satellite-based system, initially developed under contract to the U.S. military, it has superior reporting capabilities compared to any other cellular-phone based solutions. This makes the Pigeon S unit perfect for tracking and locating valuable cargo or hazardous materials in remote regions.
The Pigeon S is a self-contained battery-operated system that improves a company's operational efficiency, reduces costs, increases the level of service to customers, increases the number of loads delivered, and can even aid in theft recovery. Because the unit is battery operated, monitoring can be done when the trailer is tethered or un-tethered. This new product comes with data connectors to customize the units by adding features such as door alarm sensors and temperature probes for refrigeration units. The Pigeon S battery will last for five years when reporting automatically twice a day. The unit may also be connected to vehicle power for more frequent reporting rates. The TraXall Internet website allows easy setup and configuration of the units plus access to location information. Now you can track individual units or the entire fleet on maps of North America and be able to drill down to the location of the vehicle, whether it is parked or moving.
"TraXall Pigeon S represents a new level of AVL technology in areas of small size, long life, low cost, high performance and ease of installation. This is particularly important for owners of fleets of trailers, tractors and construction heavy equipment," states John R. Tuttle, CEO and President of iNet-Blue. "The fact that all this technology on the vehicle is available over the Internet gives owners another remarkable opportunity to capitalize on information about their fleet that they have never had before."
