Online Backup, and End-User Support for PCs
The Dealer Services Group of ADP, Inc., a business unit of ADP , is introducing a new PC-based solution entitled Managed Desktop Services. ADP's Managed Desktop Services offering includes hardware and software asset management, automated backup, anti-virus security protection and 24x7 help desk support. ADP's Managed Desktop Support is powered by Everdream Corporation, a leader in providing rapidly deployable and cost-effective services for protecting, managing and supporting desktop computing. In addition to offering Managed Desktop Services to its dealership customers, ADP is utilizing Everdream's solution for use with its own internal PC users as well.
"We are extremely excited about the productivity improvements and cost savings that ADP's Managed Desktop Support solution will facilitate. In a highly competitive automotive retail market we cannot afford a major expenditure of our resources on hardware asset management or 24x7 support tools. With ADP we get a complete package of state-of-the-art desktop solutions that allows us to better focus on selling and servicing automobiles," states Sherry Kuhfuss of Town Motors of Exton.
"As the leading technology solutions provider to the automotive dealer marketplace, we at ADP understand that outsourcing information technology functions leads to benefits such as improved service levels and increased savings for both our dealership customers, and our internal PC users. Managed Desktop Support is another piece in ADP's overall goal to be the world-class support provider for our customers," said Bill Heffern, vice president of client services for the ADP Dealer Services Group.
ADP Dealer Services can enable dealerships to track and manage their assets using a centralized control center, a web-based management console that allows instant access to asset inventory, service request management and reporting features. With its powerful query and report tools, automotive retailers can better manage their PCs, whether they are in their primary headquarters or being used in a branch location.
"As a provider of cutting-edge services and support to the automotive retail market, ADP Dealer Services sees the benefit of Everdream's subscription-based desktop management service that offers rapid deployment and requires no capital outlay or additional infrastructure to receive robust systems management capabilities.
