Delphi Confirms SKYFi Distribution Plans

80,000 'boom box' audio systems set for distribution in first half of 2003

TROY, Mich., Jan. 30 -- The Chairman, CEO and President of
Delphi Corp. , J.T. Battenberg III, today stated Delphi plans to
ship 80,000 Delphi XM SKYFi(TM) "boom box" Audio System units to retailers
during the first half of 2003. This statement confirms information previously
disclosed by XM Satellite Radio Corp. regarding 2003 distribution plans.
"Distribution of these units in the first six months of 2003 provides
further evidence that consumers are excited by this revolutionary product, and
will allow retailers to meet increasing demand," Battenberg said.
The company was the first to market with a fully portable consumer
satellite radio system. In the final three months of 2002, Delphi delivered
approximately 100,000 of its Delphi XM SKYFi satellite systems to retailers
including Best Buy and Circuit City, making it their top selling retail
satellite radio system.
Current distribution plans are driven by several recent market trends,
such as rising demand for satellite service and strong production forecasts
for retail systems like the SKYFi products. The company is also working on
developing enhanced Delphi XM SKYFi products as well as other systems to meet
future consumer demands for even more capabilities, such as location-based
information services and streaming entertainment.
