ZF Group Appoints Tom Gorman and Kurt Mueller To Vice President Posts in North America



    NORTHVILLE, Mich., Jan. 30 -- ZF Group North American
Operations (NAO) -- a regional division of leading automotive supplier ZF
Friedrichshafen AG -- promoted Tom Gorman to Vice President Chassis Components
North America, and Kurt Mueller to Vice President Chassis Systems North
America.  Both positions are within ZF Lemforder Corporation, the passenger
car chassis division at ZF and will report to Jim Stacey, President and COO of
ZF Lemforder Corporation North America.
    Gorman joined ZF in October 2000, as General Manager of the chassis
components business unit, after 17 years with Dana Corporation.  He earned a
bachelor's degree from University of Detroit Mercy and a master's degree from
the University of Michigan.
    In his new position, he is responsible for ZF Lemforder manufacturing
plants in Brewer, Maine; Duncan, S.C.; Lapeer, Mich.; and Toluca, Mexico, as
well as service departments in Northville, Mich.
    Mueller joined ZF in 1997 as a Project Manager, after 20 years with Dana
Corporation.  In 1999, he was promoted to General Manager of the chassis
systems business unit.  He earned a bachelor's degree from Ball State
University and a master's degree from Bowling Green State University.
    In his new position, he is responsible for ZF Lemforder manufacturing
plants in Tuscaloosa, Ala.; Duncan, S.C. and the new Chicago facility --
opening March 2003.
