CASCAR COMPLETES SUCCESSFUL MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

Toronto, ON - CASCAR completed its annual membership drive this past Sunday
with a drivers meeting at the Speedorama Show in the National Trade Centre
in Toronto. The results of the drive are the best in years, with membership
predicted to be at its highest since 1999.

CASCAR will announce a title sponsor for the Western Series within the next
two weeks, and will see an increase to the competitor base in the Western
provinces. The announcement of the first-ever Western Series title sponsor
will see a 40% increase in the points fund for the series, and more drivers
than ever have committed to run the full schedule, with several more teams
working towards securing the funds to compete for the championship. At this
time there are four competitors committed to compete for the Western Series
Rookie of the Year honours.

All meetings across the country were very well attended with record
attendance at the Super Series and CARQUEST Sportsman Series meeting held in
London, ON. The efforts of the new owners and management of the Ottawa area
racetrack named Ottodrome International Speedway have resulted in over a
dozen Sportsman drivers. A joint points fund with Autodrome St. Eustache
along with hosting events for the third annual CARQUEST Sportsman Series
have contributed to that success. Judging by the number of Sportsman drivers
already registered and the number of serious inquiries fielded, a strong
season of competition among CASCAR Sportsman teams is about to unfold. The
Delaware Speedway area competitor base will be traditionally strong, and the
addition of the Cayuga Speedway 150 lap event during the Canada Day Shootout
weekend to the schedule will further lend exposure to the series. There are
currently 12 rookie drivers registered with the three home tracks in the
CARQUEST Sportsman Series.

While the deadline for teams to secure their numbers for 2003 in the Super
Series does not fall until February 4th, membership for Canada's top level
of stock car racing appears to be on the rise as well. Attendance at all
drivers meetings was strong and higher-than-average membership applications
have been received to date. A minimum 10% increase to the Super Series point
fund was announced. It was announced that contingency sponsorship awards
remain strong for 2003, and while many contracts are still in negotiations,
there is a strong possibility of contingency payouts increasing in addition
to the point fund increase.

Minimal technical changes were announced for each series, with small changes
focusing on improvements to safety, ease of chassis tuning, and extending
the life of high-stress engine components, resulting in long term savings
for the teams.

Both CASCAR competitors and management left the meetings with a great deal
of optimism in looking forward to the 2003 season. CASCAR also announced
several new marketing initiatives that will continue to grow the sport of
stock car racing in Canada, and provide fans, sponsors, and competitors with
a stable environment in which to compete and enjoy great racing.

The CASCAR Super Series is Canada's top level of stock car racing, with 12
events across Canada. Over 150 race teams across the country compete in
CASCAR's three series', the Western Series, CARQUEST Sportsman Series, and
the Super Series.
