Textron Promotes Marianne Corr to Vice President
PROVIDENCE, R.I.--Jan. 29, 2003--Textron Inc. today announced that Marianne Corr has been named a vice president of the corporation in addition to her current position as deputy general counsel-litigation. She reports to Textron Executive Vice President and General Counsel Terrence O'Donnell.As the leader of Textron's corporate litigation group, Corr has overall responsibility for all litigation involving Textron and its affiliates.
"Over the past seven years, Marianne has proven herself as an exceptional legal professional. This promotion recognizes her experience, breadth of knowledge and dedication to Textron," said O'Donnell.
Corr has held a variety of positions in the legal department since joining Textron in 1996 as corporate counsel. She held the role of senior associate general counsel and was promoted to deputy general counsel-litigation in April 2002. Prior to joining Textron, she was a partner in the law firms of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue and Corr, Stevens & Fenningham. Corr received a B.A. with honors from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. from Duke University School of Law.
